Accepted links

Nominations require YouTube links (including unlisted links where permitted by the submitter and provider terms). Long clips should deep-link to the evidence moment via start time (`t=` / `start=`). The platform stores the URL, normalizes an embed with optional start seconds, previews it for reviewers, and blocks unsupported provider URLs unless an administrator approves another method.

Rights and permission

The submitter must confirm authority to share the linked video for awards review, member evaluation, audit, and any separately approved press or archive use. A link does not transfer ownership to Balloture.

Captions and transcripts

Where video evidence is used for review or public/press presentation, captions, transcript, or equivalent accessibility support should be provided or formally waived by an accessibility owner before launch use.

Restricted handling

Private or unlisted videos should be visible only to authorized reviewers, assigned Members of Balloture, administrators, and auditors. Videos must not expose sealed results, private notes, voter information, or embargoed records.
